Logo Contest Winner
I designed this logo for the 100th annual Newton County Pun’kin Vine Fair. I entered it into an open competition, and it was selected by a panel of judges to the be used as the official logo. It was an honor to be selected as the winner because I spent many summers as a kid running around the Newton County Fair. I think this is partly why I was able to create a successful design. By incorporating colors, motiffs and typefaces I remembered seeing at the fair years ago, I created a design that provides a sense of nostalgia for the people of my hometown. These elements are combined in a way that works cohesively while portraying the essence of the fair’s traditions.
Every summer Red Vines® release a limited edition Peace Love and Vines™ tray. I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to design this tray for the summer of 2020. It hit the shelves in early June and ran through late September. I was afforded a lot of creative freedom with this one and had a lot of fun putting this together for an iconic American brand.

Logo Design
The University Residences Multicultural Connections program provides first-year minority residents from under-represented groups with encouragement and support as they transition to life at Purdue. In addition, this program provides student leaders opportunities to gain transferable leadership skills by interacting with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. Mentors are upperclassmen who have exhibited academic proficiency and leadership ability. They are trained to discuss issues and difficulties that their first-year peers are experiencing and make appropriate referrals to campus resources.

I put this together after a trip to Los Angeles for the Adobe Max conference in the winter of 2019. It was my first time in California, and I left feeling incredibly inspired. In LA, it seems as though the weather is always perfect, but in the Midwest the seasons are ever changing.
